Weight = (mass) x (acceleration of gravity)

Acceleration of gravity on Earth = 9.8 m/s²

Weight = (0.25 kg) x (9.8 m/s²) = 2.45 newtons .

Th object is attracted toward the Earth with a force of
2.45 newtons, AND the Earth is attracted toward the object
with a force of 2.45 newtons.  The object's weight on Earth
is equal to Earth's weight on the object.
