Legislation passed during Harding's administration was the Emergency Quota Act. The Emergency Quota Act also is known to as the Emergency Immigration Act. It was a law restricting the number of new immigrants into the United States. It is to determine a maximum number of immigrants allowed to enter the United States from each nation or region.
