First find the height

(5*5)+(x*x)=(13*13)  Pythagorean theorem  a squared+b squared=c squared c=hypotenuse(the longest side)

25+(x*x)=169

(x*x)=144

x= square root of 144=12

height=12cm

AREA=1/2base*height

AREA=5*12=60

ANSWER  A)

AREA=60 squared cm
