At a hockey game, a vender sold a combined total of 217 sodas and hot dogs. The number of sodas sold was 59 more than the number of hot dogs sold. Find the number of sodas sold and the number of hot dogs sold.

Sodas + hotdog = 217

(59 + hotdog) + hotdog = 217

2 hotdogs = 158

hotdogs = 79<===== hotdogs

sodas = 79 + 59 = 138 <===== sodas
