2(x+4)+3(x−4)

Distribute:

=(2)(x)+(2)(4)+(3)(x)+(3)(−4)

=2x+8+3x+−12

Combine Like Terms:

=2x+8+3x+−12

=(2x+3x)+(8+−12)

=5x+−4

Answer:

=5x−4
