The person reeving communion must have love for all in the heart and must pray and receive the communion fasting.
When one receives communion, it means that Jesus has come to live in the person. In other words, the one who receives communion becomes an icon or representation of Jesus.
Communion is received by drinking wine that become blood of Jesus from a special cup called chalice.
The Orthodox Churches's beliefs are similar to other churches, such as the belief that God revealed himself in Jesus Christ, and a belief in the incarnation of Christ, his crucifixion and resurrection.
