The temperature of a sample of water increases from 20.9°C to 45.5°C as it absorbs 5637 J of heat. What is the mass of the sample?

Q = 5637 J

 C =4.814 J/KgºC

Temperature  : 45.5ºC - 20.9º C = 24.6ºC

Q = m x C  x T

5637 = m x 4.814 x 24.6

5637 = m x 118.4244

m = 5637 / 118.4244

m = 47.60 g
