If red blood cells create new blood for us, then at one point are we no longer made up of our parent's blood?

You are forgetting the basic process by which our body cells are made....mitosis. Each cell in our body contains the genetic material passed on to us by our parents. That material/DNA is merely copied during mitosis, as new cells are produced.
