The comet will die or will recover after it has made several trips around the Sun. the tail of the comet always point away from the sun because the sun’s ray heat up and the solar winds push on the comet and then make the tail.

The heat from the Sun vaporizes most of the frozen ice in the comet. The remaining small particles spread out in the orbit of the comet.
