We are given with the equation 6x -1/5 =3/1. We simplify first the right side of the equation to 6x - 1/5 = 3. we multiply the whole equation by 5, resulting to 30 x -1 = 15. We transpose 1 to the left side, making it 30 x = 16.  x then is equal to 16/30 or 8/15 or 0.5333.
