Jesus prayed how he wanted to. Kneeled down, head down, head up, it doesn't matter, you just have to show respect. Back then people prayed with their head up and eyes open as if they were talking to god, because, they ARE talking to god. A prayer is a direct conversation with god, so we must have respect for him. You know what is right and wrong, use that.
