Explanation:

C3H8 (g) + 502 (g) → 3C02 (g) + 4H2O

Propane + Oxygen → Carbon dioxide + water

In the reaction above,

5 moles of O2 produce 4 moles of H2O

10 mol of O2 will produce Z moles of H2O

To get the value of Z, cross multiply

Z moles x 5 moles = 4 moles x 10 moles 5Z = 40

Z = 40/5

Z = 8

Therefore, the equation becomes

2C3H8 (g) + 1002 (g) → 6C02 (g) + 8H2O

Thus, 10 moles of O2 will produce 8 moles of H2O
