The factored form of a polynomial is comprised of factors in which the sum is equal to the coefficient of the second term and the product is equal to the coefficient of the third term. In this case, the factors of x2 – 10xy + 24y2  are 4y and 6y. hence the answer i(x - 4y) (x-6y)
