Depends on the animal, but here's a snake pov.

"I slither through the thick, wet dirt. Already feeling the longing of a mouse nearby, I stay quiet, hissing and sticking my Tounge out to catch the smell. It's definitely going to be a good meal, I sneak closer, grabbing the mouse with my tail and ending its very existence. I pull the now dead mouse closer and devour it."
