Answer:

1/2 and 5/10 are equivalent because when you reduce 5/10, you get 1/2. Also, whenever we speak, we always say half of 10 is 5. Finally, the factor of 5 made them have an equal value. Therefore, 5/10 and 1/2 are equivalent.
