John and Mary went to the mall. (Complete sentence) but if it was like "went to the mall" that doesn't make sense so that would make it a fragment but because it says WHO went to the mall it's a sentence.
its a sentence because you know who went to the mall like if you said went to the mall then you would not know who went to the mall
