f(x) = 6x² - 9 - 6

f(-3) = 6*(-3)² - 9 - 6

f(-3) = 6*(-3)*(-3) - 9 - 6 = 6*9 - 9 - 6 = 54 - 15 = 39

f(-3) = 39

Hope this explains it.
