That would depend on the amount of apples or perhaps apple slices being shared to this one friend. If 1 apple, you have 2. If you 2 apples, you have 1 left. If three apples, you have zero left. Basic addiction and subtraction can be used to determine the amount of apples left.

well if you have 3 apples and you share them equally with one friend, both of you would have 1 apple and a half but if you share the 3 apples with one friend, you would have 0.
