first you have to find x, you do that by getting x by its self. when you do this you do the opposite arithmetic (equation sign like - or +) on both sides of the equal sign. for example since its plus 3.78 you have to subtract 3.78 on both sides of the equal sign, so on so on till you are left with only x on one side of the equal sign
