Maximum range occurs when the angle of projection is 45°. Using formula for maximum range.

According to the question,

[tex]x=\dfrac{v^2}{g}[/tex] ...(1)

Maximum height,

[tex]h=\dfrac{v^2}{2g}[/tex]

From equation (1).

[tex]h=\dfrac{x}{2}[/tex]

Hence, this is the required solution.
