Rate of change = RΔ = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = Δy/Δx

(X1,Y1)(X2,Y2)

(1, 2) (2, 4)

RΔ = Δy/Δx

= (4-2)/(2-1)

RΔ = 2

(2, 4) (3, 8)

RΔ = (8-4)/(3-2)

RΔ = 4

(3, 8) (4, 16)

RΔ = (16-8)/(4-3)

RΔ = 8
