Eating disorders aren't as rare as a mental disorders such as DID, but there is still a small percentage of people with eating disorders, 9% to be exact. Having an eating disorder is something that is inflicted mentally, if you were told that you are too 'big' or too 'skinny' multiple times, your brain would start to think that you need to change your body shape and how you act, resulting in an eating disorder.
