Try solving this like you would solve an equation, but just with an inequality sign.
What we want to do is isolate the variable [tex]x[/tex] through algebraic manipulation.
So if we have:
[tex]2x+8 < 3x-4[/tex]
[tex]x > 12[/tex]
After we subtract the [tex]2x[/tex] from the left side and add [tex]4[/tex] from the right side.
