Given:-

[tex](4,1)(2,4)[/tex]

To find the distance.

So the distance formula is,

[tex]d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}[/tex]

Substituting we get,

[tex]\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt{(2-4)^2+(4-1)^2} \\ d=\sqrt{-2^2+3^2} \\ d=\sqrt{4+9} \\ d=\sqrt{13} \end{gathered}[/tex]

So the required distance is root 13.
