-9y = 3/4 -x

9y = 3/4 +x Divide both sides by 9

y = 1/12 + x/9

y= x/9 + 1/12

2) Since we have the slope 1/9, then we can write the first equation as

y= 1/9x On the same line

y= 1/9x +2/24 2/24 is a multiple of 1/12, therefore on the same line

y = 1/9x + 3/36 3/36 is a multiple of 1/12, therefore on the same line
