If f(x) = 2x + 3 and g(x) = 3x - 9, find (f + g)(x). We do

[tex]\begin{gathered} f(x)+g(x)=2x+3+3x-9 \\ =(2x+3x)+(3-9) \\ =5x-6 \end{gathered}[/tex]

So the answer is: your answer is right
