if the number $60 is increased by 15% what is its new value

So we wan't to know what number would we get when we would increase the value of 60$ for 15%. Lets say x is the number we are looking for. If 60$ is 100% then when we increase its value for 15% we get x has 115% value. So that means 115$*60$=x, or (115/100)*60$=x. Finally we get x=69$.
