Please tell me how to solve:

200 children took part in a convert. There are 4 times as many girls as boys. How many girls were there? How many more girls than boys were there?

c=200, g=4b

c=b+g, now substitute c and g from above into this equation...

200=b+4b

200=5b  divide both sides by 5

40=b

So forty boys were in the concert.

Since g=4b girls=4(40)=160

Thus there were 160-40=130 more girls than boys.
