x² + 7x = -10
x² + 7x + 10 = 0
Now, we can factor left side
(x+2)(x+5) = 0
Set factors equal to 0
x + 2 = 0 or x + 5 = 0
x = 0 - 2 or x = 0 - 5
x = -2 or x =-5
