Line the the fractions up! 5 & 7
5 + 7 = 12, right?
if you say yes then you're correct!

So, we leave "6" alone since we have the same denominator

5/6 + 7/6 = 12/6
The answer is a mixed number so⬇
12/6 = 2/1
= 12÷6 = 2

So, therefore your answer for this question is 2/1
