The major themes of My Sister's Keeper revolve around a young girl with cancer having a sister who was birthed with the purpose of giving the necessary organs and blood transfusions to save her sister's life. However, throughout the book/movie, the Keeper sister begins to have second thoughts regarding being her sister's keeper as she falls in love with a boy.
