Usually by adding many arms and occasionally other heads. the extra arms show that they god or goddess is able to perform many tasks at one time and are very powerful, whereas with the heads it shows different aspects of the god or goddess. usually if there is three heads, the one in the middle is the main one or more common. hope it helps!!
