First, we are going to add these two vectors.

We are going to calculate the argument of the result vector.

u= <4,-1> and v= <3,5>

[tex]u+v=\ \textless \ 4,-1\ \textgreater \ +\ \textless \ 3,5\ \textgreater \ =\ \textless \ 7,4\ \textgreater \ [/tex]

[tex]|u+v|=|\ \textless \ 7,4\ \textgreater \ |= \sqrt{7^2+4^2} = \sqrt{65} [/tex]
