How Do You Think Citizens Participate In A Democracy And How Can Participation Be Encouraged?

Citizens participate in Democracy mostly through voting, with which they can give power to politicians which have certain views, and thus the citizens can support (or not) those views.

This participation can be best encourage with good information, that is, letting the citizens know the impact they have.
