the length of the rectangle measures 3m+5 and the width of this rectangle measures 2m+3. if the perimeter of this rectangle is 66 inches, what would be the value for m?

The equation for perimeter is 2w + 2l. When you substitute this in you get:

2(3m+5) + 2(2m+3)
6m + 10 + 4m +6
10m + 16
