A hockey puck slides across an ice rink more easily than it does across a rough concrete surface. Why is this?

There is less friction between the ice and hockey puck. Concrete is generally more textured and rough, therefore creating more friction

Becuase along the concrete, there is friction because it is not smooth.  The ice, on the other hand, is smooth and has much less friction.
