to find the are of a trapezoid, it is 0.5(base 1 plus base 2)height. so base 1 is 16 inches and 2 is 12, so 16+12is 28, and 28/2 is 14, the height is 9, so 9*14 is the answer. 90+36 is 126. so 126 in^2
