Due to its high carbon composition. Biomolecules are essentially molecules that are centered around the carbon atom. The other atoms that mainly make up living organisms, and are also present in the DNA, are oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Other types of biomolecules include carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and proteins.
