One disadvantage I can think of would be pathogen. This is parasites, bacteria, and viruses that cause diseases in living things. I hope this helps, hun! :)

Animals will get trapped in trash and can’t breathe in murky water. The plastic can get stuck around animals necks. They might eat it and get poisoned
