The relationship between the number of cups of water, w, and the number of cups of lemon juice, j, used in a recipe is described by the equation j = 2w. How many cups of water are needed for each cup of lemon juice?

2 because 2w means 2 x w, so for each cup of water its times two, and you would get j.
