During a weekend sale, a store sold 85 DVDs for $19 each. What is the total amount of money, rounded to the nearest hundred, the store made selling the DVDs?

We are given

total number of DVDs=85

price of each DVDs=$19

we have to find total amount of money

total amount of money = (total number of DVDs)*(price of each DVDs)

total amount of money =85*19

total amount of money =$1615

now, we know that 1615 is more close to 1600 than 1700 because both are nearest hundredth

so,

total amount of money is $1600.........Answer
