A skater increases her velocity from 2.0 m/s to 10.0 m/s in 3.0 seconds. What is the skater's acceleration?

As change is velocity is

Δv=10 m s−1−2 m s−1=8 m s−1

and time taken is 3 seconds so acceleration is

acceleration=change in velocitychange in time

So

a=8 m s−13 s=2.7 m s−2
